Remote learning

An overview to remote learning at Forest of Galtres

To help provide clarity and transparency to pupils, parents or carers about what to expect from remote education where national or local restrictions require entire cohorts (or bubbles) to remain at home we’ve created an overview document which we hope you find useful. You can read our Remote Learning Overview by clicking this link.

At Forest of Galtres Anglican Methodist Primary School we pride ourselves on our pastoral and nurturing approach which sits at the heart of our school community. Alongside our extensive home learning package, we also commit to regular check-ins with our families completed by class teachers and members of the senior leadership team. As a school, we will go above and beyond to ensure that families remain happy, safe and motivated during, what can often be, very difficult times.

If you have any problems or questions, please do not hesitate to contact school.

Our remote learning approach

During the current evolving situation, our teachers are supporting our children with continuing education at home. Whenever home learning is required, teachers will ensure pupils have access to materials and activities that will allow this to happen.

We know that you are as committed as we are to making sure that the current situation does not hamper your child’s progress. To support you and your child, this letter  outlines how our staff will communicate learning and activities that can be completed at home.

Each week, teachers will set work which will be reviewed and updated regularly. For Key Stage 2, please also see the guide to using google classroom.
